Dune Messiah (Dune Chronicles, #2)
That was quite different from the first book. Much more political intrigue, barely any action. It explores some of the more interesting sci-fi aspects of the universe, but the story it is telling is not as entertaining, and it doesn’t expand the universe in the way I hoped it would. Apparently this, the predecessor and the next book in the series were supposed to be one huge book, so I’ll have to keep on reading to pass final judgement. I didn’t hate this sequel, but I definitely hope I’ll enjoy the next one a lot more. Messiah was only half the length as Dune, but it felt twice as long-winded.
